“We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by embracing energy efficiency methods in line with UAE’s Green Building initiatives. Our Abu Dhabi showroom was the first LEED certified facility of its kind in the capital and for Dubai, we have adhered to the requirements of the latest version of LEED system,” said Siddharth Peters, Managing Director, The Total Office.
“Manufacturers we partner with are also committed to creating sustainable working environments and we have a range of green products in store including ergonomic chairs and led free energy saving LED lighting,” he added.
The showroom gives architects and interior designers a view of the best solutions and designs available for meeting emerging workplace trends and causing only the minimum environmental impact. The outlet features mock- up offices and extensive use of glass allowing natural light to penetrate. There are a series of temporary and shared workstations typical of today’s open, collaborative and creative workplaces; and mock-ups of lobby, executive cabins, conference rooms and coffee bar.
Customers and partners joined the celebrations to mark the opening of The Total Office in Dubai and enjoyed the fashion show by Annie Thompson who was displaying her collections for the first time in Dubai. Thompson is a couture designer who has also made her mark as an artist, textile sculpturist and an advocate of Eco-fashion. Inspired by the fabric that Teknion uses in their furniture lines, the collection was eco-friendly and imaginative.
